Psytechnics Experience Manager
The Psytechnics Experience Manager is a solution for the end user experience management of IP-based communications services (speech, video), whose analysis functions go well above and beyond the monitoring methods of traditional solutions on the market.
Conventional solutions for monitoring the end user experience in relation to IP data traffic are generally exclusively limited to Mean Opinion Score (MOS) estimates based on end-user device data or IP statistics. However, these estimated MOS values only reflect the actual user experience in the rarest of cases.

The Psytechnics Experience Manager therefore goes one step further: On top of the passive IP-MOS analysis, the waveform of the transmitted voice and video data is determined and analyzed according to the parameters of human perception. Only then can effects such as echo, reverberation, adequate volume, etc. be correctly identified and evaluated. This results in reliable evidence of the communication quality experienced by the user.
The advantages of the Psytechnics Experience Manager:
- Pro-active vs. reactive management
- Problems with the quality of telephone conversations and video conferences can be identified and solved before they impact the service.
- SLA penalties, as well as loss of confidence or delays in project clearance can be avoided.
- Business-oriented tools and management consoles
- The graphical user interface is based on its effect on the end user in relation to the network topology.
- IP data capture and root cause analysis in real time.
- Failures are reported immediately and directly to the correct support team.
- Quantifiable comments on the subjectively-felt experience
- Faster troubleshooting and shorter MTTR
- Reduces the running and support costs.
- Allows for differentiated services.
- Increases user satisfaction.
- Business-relevant service level support.
The architecture of the Psytechnics Experience Manager:

The Psytechnics Experience Manager consists of the following components:
- IP engines
- These are located in the corresponding network demarcation points and use Psytechnics' QoE analysis software to evaluate the live streams.
- End point data collection manager
- This collects optional additional analysis data from the end devices and forwards them to the experience server.
- Experience server
- The experience server aggregates the analysis data and comprises the web-based user interface, the primary database and the database interface.
- Real-time management and troubleshooting consoles
- Documentation function
- The analysis data can easily be exported as user-defined reports.
