From Cloud-Native to AI-Native: amasol's Review of Dynatrace Perform 2025

Under the motto "Where Possibilities become Reality," Dynatrace held its annual customer and partner event, Dynatrace Perform 2025, from February 3 to 5 in Las Vegas. As in previous years, amasol was present with a two-person team—Jiri Kurejko and Stani Radzioch—to learn about the latest innovations and trends in the Dynatrace portfolio. They also took the opportunity to exchange experiences with other attendees regarding Dynatrace solutions.

From Cloud-Native to AI-Native: Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Enhanced IT Operations Automation

While last year's Dynatrace Perform focused primarily on the "cloudification" of the entire Dynatrace product portfolio, particularly the Dynatrace SaaS cloud product family, this year's emphasis was clearly on the possibilities of achieving higher automation of IT operations through artificial intelligence. To this end, the functionality of the Dynatrace AI platform, Davis AI, has been significantly expanded.

Dynatrace now enables AI-assisted creation of so-called "artifacts," allowing for automated remediation workflows. For example, Dynatrace can automatically create Kubernetes deployment resources based on actual demand, preventing both over- and under-provisioning of resources.

Additionally, Davis AI's automatic root cause analysis has been improved. The system now offers explanations in natural language and context-specific recommendations. It provides clearly understandable summaries of identified issues, specific steps for problem resolution, and highlights relevant best practices based on the analysis of previous incidents.

These enhancements accelerate the Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR) and simultaneously build an intelligent knowledge base. This enables IT operations teams to learn from past experiences and reduces the risk of knowledge loss.

The aforementioned features, combined with the existing "Predictive AI" capabilities of Davis AI, now facilitate genuine preventive measures. Teams can access immediate forecasts in a centralized location, leveraging observational data, AI-generated artifacts, and Dynatrace's automation functions. This approach aims to prevent issues before they occur. Dynatrace AIOps extends beyond traditional IT operations to include security applications, such as proactive firewall configuration.

Dynatrace Expands Security Portfolio with Cloud Security Posture Management Solution (CSPM)

This brings us to the next central theme of Dynatrace Perform 2025: security. The challenges in IT security, particularly cloud security, are growing, and Dynatrace aims to address this development.

Dynatrace CSPM extends the existing Kubernetes Security Posture Management (KSPM) solution, enabling companies to manage all aspects of cloud security through a single, unified platform.
